What this means
From the video: Vambient's breakdown, lightly cleaned from speech
Kayn, another champion that I would probably place down here. We're going to just place all three forms cuz that is what it is. F tier.
So there's a 10% chance that Kayn will be in your game across all games. And of that, he's banned 6% of the time. There's only three, challenger canes, and there's only four, GM canes.
So, Charismay probably accounts for at least three of those accounts. Maybe like two, two or three of those accounts at any given time. Charismay is G grinder.
So, there's one Kayn player realistically, I think, in higher MMRs. That should tell you something about the champion. So, maybe he gets buffed in the future.
Maybe something happens to Kayn. I hope not because I really don't like going against Kayn, but good Kayn, you know, very terrifying to play against. Bad Kayn, very easy to go against.
I think this champion has been forgotten by Riot for a long time now. I don't think it's been good for a while. At least for maybe a few years, so I haven't really seen it too much.
So, yeah, I don't think Kayn is very good right now to Maine. Typically champions that have been left behind by Riot are not that good to main. So like Illaoi, like Amumu, you know, like Kayn, like Darius, these champions haven't been updated in quite some time.
So you know, keep in mind, maybe maybe they get an update. We'll see.
How this was measured
Two numbers, one division. First, how many players are currently in Challenger or Grandmaster maining this champion in Korea, Europe West and North America, from onetricks.gg. Second, how many ranked games the entire playerbase plays of this champion worldwide across every rank, from op.gg. The result is high elo mains per 100,000 games played, then reduced by the champion's ban rate, because a champion you cannot pick is a champion you cannot main.
This is not a win rate list and it is not a patch strength list. It measures availability-adjusted high-elo main density: how much Challenger and Grandmaster main representation a champion has relative to how often it is played. It is not the probability that maining this champion will get you to high elo. The score counts Challenger and Grandmaster mains only, drawn from a tracked pool that starts at Master; it does not include the Chinese server, and it counts accounts rather than people, so one dedicated player with several high elo accounts shows up more than once. Patch 16.15. The full plain English explanation, including everything this list cannot tell you, is on the main list page.
Popularity is not the signal. What matters here is how densely high elo mains appear relative to how often the champion is played.
