Does your champion scale?
All 174 champions are graded S through F on one question: how much they can influence a coordinated late-game fight once both teams have completed builds, high levels, and long death timers. This is not a measure of overall champion strength, and it is not a win-rate list. A Grade F champion can be excellent. It just has a deadline. Every champion has a full page explaining the grade.

What the grades mean
S, Best late. Wins games by existing at full build. A, Great late. Strong scaling with one real condition attached. B, Okay late. Genuine value that needs the right game state. C, Bad late. Falling off, with one narrow job remaining. D, Very bad late. Actively worse as the clock runs. F, End early, please. The window closes early, so play for it.
What scaling means here
Scaling in this Codex is not damage growth on a graph. It is how much control a champion has over a fight that happens at forty minutes, around an objective, with both teams grouped and every item slot filled. Range, target access, crowd control, utility, durability and cooldown structure all feed into it. So does the ability to punish one mistake when a death costs fifty seconds.
Lasting a long game is not the same as deciding one
A durable champion can hold a rising win rate as games run long without ever becoming the reason the game was won. Rammus, Braum, Nautilus and Maokai all do better the longer a game goes, and none of them are graded highly here, because their job at full build is to stop the enemy from choosing the fight rather than to end it. The grade answers how much a champion decides. If your champion sits low but the clock still seems to help you, that is usually the difference, and it is worth knowing which one you are relying on.
Build-dependent and form-specific grades
Some grades belong to one build rather than the whole champion. Full AP Kog'Maw is Grade S; the on-hit build is a different champion with a different report card. Kayn is graded twice, because Rhaast and Shadow Assassin scale differently enough to deserve separate pages. Where a build or form condition applies, it is stated at the top of the champion page rather than buried.
Infinite scaling
A handful of champions carry a permanent stacking mechanic with no cap, so their numbers keep climbing after every item slot is full. That is marked as infinite scaling. It is not the same as being the best late-game champion. Nasus scales infinitely and sits at B, because the stacks are real and reaching a target is the problem.
