Ekko Scaling: Grade C
No, not reliably. Ekko falls off in coordinated late-game fights. Grade C, Bad late, in The Scaling Codex.
Reviewed for League of Legends Season 16 (2026).
Verdict. Very conditional engage, susceptible to getting CC'd and burst down before any ultimate or Zhonya's can be cast.
Why Ekko falls off
His late game asks him to enter first and still be alive three seconds later. The damage needs contact, contact means crossing the front line, and full-build teams are built to interrupt exactly that champion mid-dash. One stun on the way in and the escape he was saving belongs to a corpse.
Chronobreak looks perfect on paper: deal the damage, let the seconds pass, rewind out. The plan needs those seconds to exist, and endgame burst is faster than the trail he leaves.
The engage works when three things line up
A flank angle, the stun landed from fog, and the enemy's key crowd control already spent. Miss one and the entry is one way.
Do not enter until the stun that cancels you has been spent on somebody else.

How this grade was judged
The grade weighs range, target access, sustained and burst damage, crowd control, mobility, durability, healing and shielding, resets, cooldown structure, objective and formation control, split pressure, and how well the champion survives a long fight. Builds and forms that scale differently are graded separately. This is Vambient's gameplay evaluation of coordinated late-game fights, not a win-rate calculation. Full methodology.

The grade measures one thing: how much a champion can influence a coordinated late-game objective fight once both teams reach full builds. It does not measure early strength, snowballing, or win rate. A weak late-game champion still wins by ending the game first, which is what the rest of the library teaches. How the grades are decided.
