Diana Scaling: Grade B
Reasonably well, with conditions. Diana keeps real value at full build. Grade B, Okay late, in The Scaling Codex.
Reviewed for League of Legends Season 16 (2026).
Verdict. Same issue as Ahri and Annie. The close-range mage problem becomes a severe issue late.
What she still offers
Moonfall is one of the better fight-starting buttons in the class. It drags everyone nearby into a pile, and a pile is the best possible input for her team's follow-up. The E dash resetting off her Q mark means she can arrive in the middle of a fight faster than most teams can call it.
The middle of the fight is the problem
All of her damage happens at touch range, so every cast invites five full-build players to answer her personally. Ranged mages deal their damage from safety. Diana has to deal hers from inside their range, and late that is a much worse trade.
Without a front line entering ahead of her, the pull is a solo trip that gathers the enemy team around her own body.
Count how many enemies you will pull in, then count how many teammates arrive before it ends. If the second number is zero, do not press it.

How this grade was judged
The grade weighs range, target access, sustained and burst damage, crowd control, mobility, durability, healing and shielding, resets, cooldown structure, objective and formation control, split pressure, and how well the champion survives a long fight. Builds and forms that scale differently are graded separately. This is Vambient's gameplay evaluation of coordinated late-game fights, not a win-rate calculation. Full methodology.

The grade measures one thing: how much a champion can influence a coordinated late-game objective fight once both teams reach full builds. It does not measure early strength, snowballing, or win rate. A weak late-game champion still wins by ending the game first, which is what the rest of the library teaches. How the grades are decided.
