Vayne Scaling: Grade B

BOkay lateat full build, coordinated fights

Reasonably well, with conditions. Vayne keeps real value at full build. Grade B, Okay late, in The Scaling Codex.

Reviewed for League of Legends Season 16 (2026).

Verdict. B tier. In theory, percentage-HP true damage is elite. In practice, she is outranged by every ADC in S and A tier, gets poked out before she can close the gap, and has no reliable escape when team fights spread out. Range is the single biggest scaling factor for ADCs.

Nothing in the shop answers her damage

Silver Bolts take a percentage of the health bar as true damage, so the six-item tank melts as quickly as anyone else. Condemn adds self-peel that can pin a diver to a wall. On paper that is a hypercarry.

The paper leaves out delivery

Her effective range is shorter than every carry ranked above her, and she has to survive the fight at that distance for the true damage to exist at all.

Longer-range carries shoot her during the approach, poke drains her before the fight starts, and when a spread fight shifts, a short tumble is not an exit.

The rule

True damage you cannot deliver is zero damage. Solve the range problem first, with peel, walls and angles.

How this grade was judged

The grade weighs range, target access, sustained and burst damage, crowd control, mobility, durability, healing and shielding, resets, cooldown structure, objective and formation control, split pressure, and how well the champion survives a long fight. Builds and forms that scale differently are graded separately. This is Vambient's gameplay evaluation of coordinated late-game fights, not a win-rate calculation. Full methodology.

Related champions

The grade measures one thing: how much a champion can influence a coordinated late-game objective fight once both teams reach full builds. It does not measure early strength, snowballing, or win rate. A weak late-game champion still wins by ending the game first, which is what the rest of the library teaches. How the grades are decided.
