Pyke Scaling: Grade F

FEnd early, pleaseat full build, coordinated fights

No. Pyke needs the game to end before full build. Grade F, End early, please, in The Scaling Codex.

Reviewed for League of Legends Season 16 (2026).

Verdict. One of the worst late-game champions on the list, he is extremely squishy and ultimate has less value as the game progresses.

The gold stops being worth anything

His ultimate prints gold, and gold is a currency that expires. Executing a target and paying his team was game-winning economics at twenty minutes. At forty, everyone is already full build and the extra income buys nothing that changes the next fight. The signature button keeps working while its reason for existing retires.

The body attached to it was never built for this stage either. He is an all-damage, no-health frame in fights where area damage covers the whole screen, so every step into melee range for the execute is a coin flip against every stray cooldown on the map.

The fog pick is what is left

The fog pick. One hook or stun on a rotating carry before the fight forms, then out.

The rule

Every minute past thirty devalues your ultimate. Spend the lead and end it.

How this grade was judged

The grade weighs range, target access, sustained and burst damage, crowd control, mobility, durability, healing and shielding, resets, cooldown structure, objective and formation control, split pressure, and how well the champion survives a long fight. Builds and forms that scale differently are graded separately. This is Vambient's gameplay evaluation of coordinated late-game fights, not a win-rate calculation. Full methodology.

Related champions

The grade measures one thing: how much a champion can influence a coordinated late-game objective fight once both teams reach full builds. It does not measure early strength, snowballing, or win rate. A weak late-game champion still wins by ending the game first, which is what the rest of the library teaches. How the grades are decided.
