Qiyana Scaling: Grade D

DVery bad lateat full build, coordinated fights

No. Qiyana gets noticeably worse as the game goes long. Grade D, Very bad late, in The Scaling Codex.

Reviewed for League of Legends Season 16 (2026).

Verdict. Spell shields or Zhonya's are very common late-game items. One-way trip with no reliable escape from AoE abilities.

The trip has no return

Her kill sequence is a trip with no return. The dashes deliver her into the enemy team, the burst either finishes the job or it does not, and both outcomes end with her at melee range as the area damage arrives.

Worse, the sequence has an off switch the enemy owns. A spell shield eats the opening cast and the combo dies unstarted. The hourglass active outlasts the burst window entirely.

Her gold buys damage, theirs buys the answer

A sixth item does not improve that exchange, because her problem is access rather than power.

The rule

The terrain only helps while you are on the right side of it. Cast the ultimate across the wall you are behind, not the wall you dove past.

How this grade was judged

The grade weighs range, target access, sustained and burst damage, crowd control, mobility, durability, healing and shielding, resets, cooldown structure, objective and formation control, split pressure, and how well the champion survives a long fight. Builds and forms that scale differently are graded separately. This is Vambient's gameplay evaluation of coordinated late-game fights, not a win-rate calculation. Full methodology.

Related champions

The grade measures one thing: how much a champion can influence a coordinated late-game objective fight once both teams reach full builds. It does not measure early strength, snowballing, or win rate. A weak late-game champion still wins by ending the game first, which is what the rest of the library teaches.
