Poppy Scaling: Grade C

CBad lateat full build, coordinated fights

No, not reliably. Poppy falls off in coordinated late-game fights. Grade C, Bad late, in The Scaling Codex.

Reviewed for League of Legends Season 16 (2026).

Verdict. Similar range and tank issue later on, low range but does have a somewhat better ult.

Why Poppy falls off

She carries two decaying assets: tank stats that stop winning arguments against full-build damage, and a reach so short the enemy carries may as well be in another lane. She cannot force her way to the players who matter.

The anti-dive package is genuinely better than her neighbours'

Steadfast Presence turns an incoming dash into a stopped champion standing in the wrong place. A charged Keeper's Verdict removes a diver from the fight entirely, far enough away that it is briefly four against five while they walk back.

Against dash-heavy compositions she becomes a bodyguard worth more than the grade. Against poke and range with no dive plan, most of the kit never speaks.

The rule

You are the ground their dive lands on. Stand on your carry and make the landing illegal.

How this grade was judged

The grade weighs range, target access, sustained and burst damage, crowd control, mobility, durability, healing and shielding, resets, cooldown structure, objective and formation control, split pressure, and how well the champion survives a long fight. Builds and forms that scale differently are graded separately. This is Vambient's gameplay evaluation of coordinated late-game fights, not a win-rate calculation. Full methodology.

Related champions

The grade measures one thing: how much a champion can influence a coordinated late-game objective fight once both teams reach full builds. It does not measure early strength, snowballing, or win rate. A weak late-game champion still wins by ending the game first, which is what the rest of the library teaches.
