Kindred Scaling: Grade S

SBest lateat full build, coordinated fights

Yes. Kindred is one of the strongest late-game champions in the game. Grade S, Best late, in The Scaling Codex.

Reviewed for League of Legends Season 16 (2026).

Verdict. Permanent mark stacking plus a game-changing ultimate. The bonus range reaches a ceiling, the percent-health damage on every mark does not, and Lamb's Respite only gets more decisive as death timers grow.

Why Kindred gets an S

Marks keep taking a larger cut of the enemy health bar, so Kindred's damage grows after full build. Wolf's Frenzy scales off what the target currently has, Mounting Dread off what they are missing, and both keep widening with the stack count long after the sixth item is bought.

The range deserves a plain statement. It climbs with marks and then reaches a ceiling, and that ceiling still sits further out than any standard marksman gets, which widens Dance of Arrows along with it. She works in more space than her opponents do. She simply stops gaining more of it, while the damage carries on.

Lamb's Respite can look like a strange defensive button early. Late, it is a second life for the most valuable player in the fight, and long death timers make that decisive.

Kindred still needs the marks

A Kindred who never collected the stacks arrives at forty minutes with the range floor and the damage floor at once, which is a different champion from the one described above. An ultimate that saves three enemies and only delays her own death is not the same button either.

The ceiling is very high, but the team still has to play the floor correctly to reach it.

The rule

Do not press R because you are dying. Press it because the life inside it is worth more than the lives outside it.

How this grade was judged

The grade weighs range, target access, sustained and burst damage, crowd control, mobility, durability, healing and shielding, resets, cooldown structure, objective and formation control, split pressure, and how well the champion survives a long fight. Builds and forms that scale differently are graded separately. This is Vambient's gameplay evaluation of coordinated late-game fights, not a win-rate calculation. Full methodology.

Related champions

The grade measures one thing: how much a champion can influence a coordinated late-game objective fight once both teams reach full builds. It does not measure early strength, snowballing, or win rate. A weak late-game champion still wins by ending the game first, which is what the rest of the library teaches.
