Rek'Sai Scaling: Grade C
No, not reliably. Rek'Sai falls off in coordinated late-game fights. Grade C, Bad late, in The Scaling Codex. The grade belongs to one specific build, described below.
Reviewed for League of Legends Season 16 (2026).
Verdict. Bad late on standard build.
- Build-dependent
Why Rek'Sai falls off
On the standard build she reaches full build without a clear job. She does not have the range to deal damage safely, tank items do not make her a front line that holds, and the first target she wants is usually protected by what the enemy bought over the previous forty minutes.
The tools do not disappear. Tremor Sense still gives information, the knockup still interrupts someone entering your backline, and the tunnels create angles other junglers do not have. None of that adds up to a champion who should be starting a five versus five.
The build changes the job, not the weakness
A full damage build gives her a narrower assassination chance, but it does not turn her into a reliable late-game carry, and it makes every mistake final. The standard build survives longer and threatens less. Neither version walks through the enemy front line for free, so build-dependent here means choosing which weakness you would rather live with, not finding one that scales.
You are not the front line. Let the first engage happen, then use the opening it creates. Going first gives the entire enemy team time to focus you.
Her narrow late-game job
Their diver enters your backline, she peels the entry with the knockup, helps kill that first body, and only then uses a tunnel to reach a carry once the formation has broken. That is still worth having. Diving five grouped players from the opening is the version that gets her killed.

How this grade was judged
The grade weighs range, target access, sustained and burst damage, crowd control, mobility, durability, healing and shielding, resets, cooldown structure, objective and formation control, split pressure, and how well the champion survives a long fight. Builds and forms that scale differently are graded separately. This is Vambient's gameplay evaluation of coordinated late-game fights, not a win-rate calculation. Full methodology.

The grade measures one thing: how much a champion can influence a coordinated late-game objective fight once both teams reach full builds. It does not measure early strength, snowballing, or win rate. A weak late-game champion still wins by ending the game first, which is what the rest of the library teaches. How the grades are decided.
