Kayle Scaling: Grade S
Yes. Kayle is one of the strongest late-game champions in the game. Grade S, Best late, in The Scaling Codex.
Reviewed for League of Legends Season 16 (2026).
Verdict. One of the best true late-game scalers. Very good ultimate ability with strong range, AoE, and utility.
Why Kayle gets an S
Her scaling is written into her levels, not only her items. Her level-based upgrades eventually turn her into a ranged carry with sustained area damage, which is a different champion from the one the enemy laned against.
Divine Judgment is the utility side. Making an ally invulnerable while damage lands is worth a great deal when death timers are long, because one carry kept alive through the enemy's full commitment is often worth more than any single kill.
The game has to reach her
If her team cannot hold the map while she finishes growing, the grade never arrives. That is the whole risk of the pick.
The ultimate also has to go on the life that decides the fight. Sometimes that is her. More often it is the fed carry, and it should not be a reflex.
Let them spend everything on a target that is not allowed to die.

How this grade was judged
The grade weighs range, target access, sustained and burst damage, crowd control, mobility, durability, healing and shielding, resets, cooldown structure, objective and formation control, split pressure, and how well the champion survives a long fight. Builds and forms that scale differently are graded separately. This is Vambient's gameplay evaluation of coordinated late-game fights, not a win-rate calculation. Full methodology.

The grade measures one thing: how much a champion can influence a coordinated late-game objective fight once both teams reach full builds. It does not measure early strength, snowballing, or win rate. A weak late-game champion still wins by ending the game first, which is what the rest of the library teaches. How the grades are decided.
