Udyr Scaling: Grade B

BOkay lateat full build, coordinated fights

Reasonably well, with conditions. Udyr keeps real value at full build. Grade B, Okay late, in The Scaling Codex.

Reviewed for League of Legends Season 16 (2026).

Verdict. Decent tankiness. Q shred keeps him relevant against tanks, but susceptible to getting kited with no reliable crowd control.

One job that never expires

Their front line is not safe from him. The Q shred melts a six-item tank in a way most damage profiles cannot manage, and his own durability means he does not get chased off before the work is done.

Everyone who does not have to touch him is the problem

His threat requires contact, his crowd control requires reaching the target first, and a full-build carry with a dash decides on their own whether that happens.

Open ground against a team that walks backwards is where this grade dies. With no ranged tool to close the gap he chases, and a chasing Udyr spends the fight almost mattering.

The rule

You beat whoever has to touch you, so fight where touching you is mandatory. In the pit you are a problem. In the open field you are cardio.

How this grade was judged

The grade weighs range, target access, sustained and burst damage, crowd control, mobility, durability, healing and shielding, resets, cooldown structure, objective and formation control, split pressure, and how well the champion survives a long fight. Builds and forms that scale differently are graded separately. This is Vambient's gameplay evaluation of coordinated late-game fights, not a win-rate calculation. Full methodology.

Related champions

The grade measures one thing: how much a champion can influence a coordinated late-game objective fight once both teams reach full builds. It does not measure early strength, snowballing, or win rate. A weak late-game champion still wins by ending the game first, which is what the rest of the library teaches.
