Kassadin Scaling: Grade A
Yes. Kassadin scales well into the late game. Grade A, Great late, in The Scaling Codex.
Reviewed for League of Legends Season 16 (2026).
Verdict. Strong contender. Requires skill due to lack of CC and range. Can run out of mana and is susceptible to getting CC'd himself.
Why Kassadin gets an A
Full-build Kassadin has the most casual relationship with distance in the game. Riftwalk on a short cooldown means the gap between him and the enemy backline is a suggestion, and each blink makes the next one bigger. Most champions scale by gaining numbers. He scales by gaining access.
Null Sphere's magic shield and his passive magic damage reduction make him harder to kill than he looks against the mages sent to answer him, and his burst at six items removes squishy targets before the enemy has processed the blink.
He has to count two things before he goes
Nothing in the kit holds a target still, so every blink has to land where the damage already works. Stacked Riftwalks drain mana quickly, and one piece of hard crowd control during the entry turns all that mobility into a stationary corpse.
Count their lockdown before you blink, and count your mana before you count kills.

How this grade was judged
The grade weighs range, target access, sustained and burst damage, crowd control, mobility, durability, healing and shielding, resets, cooldown structure, objective and formation control, split pressure, and how well the champion survives a long fight. Builds and forms that scale differently are graded separately. This is Vambient's gameplay evaluation of coordinated late-game fights, not a win-rate calculation. Full methodology.

The grade measures one thing: how much a champion can influence a coordinated late-game objective fight once both teams reach full builds. It does not measure early strength, snowballing, or win rate. A weak late-game champion still wins by ending the game first, which is what the rest of the library teaches. How the grades are decided.
