Heimerdinger Scaling: Grade C
No, not reliably. Heimerdinger falls off in coordinated late-game fights. Grade C, Bad late, in The Scaling Codex.
Reviewed for League of Legends Season 16 (2026).
Verdict. Range becomes an issue later on, and his kit is a bit awkward to land reliably.
Why Heimerdinger falls off
He scales like a fortification, and endgame fights stopped being sieges. Turrets take time to place, stand still once placed, and die quickly to full-build damage. The fight happens wherever the enemy chose to engage, which is almost never where he built the nest.
Personal reach compounds it. He has to stand near his own machines to matter, and against long-threat compositions that address is inside the danger zone.
He needs the enemy to walk onto prepared ground
Coordinated teams simply choose a different fight, and a nest with nobody in it is gold spent on an empty room.
You do not join fights, you host them. If the fight will not come to the nest, do not carry the nest to the fight.

How this grade was judged
The grade weighs range, target access, sustained and burst damage, crowd control, mobility, durability, healing and shielding, resets, cooldown structure, objective and formation control, split pressure, and how well the champion survives a long fight. Builds and forms that scale differently are graded separately. This is Vambient's gameplay evaluation of coordinated late-game fights, not a win-rate calculation. Full methodology.

The grade measures one thing: how much a champion can influence a coordinated late-game objective fight once both teams reach full builds. It does not measure early strength, snowballing, or win rate. A weak late-game champion still wins by ending the game first, which is what the rest of the library teaches. How the grades are decided.
