Syndra Scaling: Grade S
Yes. Syndra is one of the strongest late-game champions in the game. Grade S, Best late, in The Scaling Codex.
Reviewed for League of Legends Season 16 (2026).
Verdict. Very long-range scaling, strong ability ratios, and a very long-range stun that is oppressive in late-game fights.
Why Syndra gets an S
She threatens the fight before it starts. Scattering a sphere stuns from a distance most champions cannot begin a play from, so enemy carries spend the standoff avoiding crowd control that outranges their own participation. That alone reshapes objective setups in her favor.
The ratios finish it. Her spells scale hard enough into full build that the stun stops being utility and becomes the start of a kill sequence, and Unleashed Power is point and click once she reaches the target.
The stun needs spheres on the ground
The stun travels through spheres, so the version of her that dominates a standoff keeps ammunition placed before she needs it. An empty field leaves her a short-range champion for a few seconds.
The ultimate is also better spent finishing a target already low than opening with it as poke.
Keep spheres on the ground before you need them. The stun starts from further out than the enemy expects.

How this grade was judged
The grade weighs range, target access, sustained and burst damage, crowd control, mobility, durability, healing and shielding, resets, cooldown structure, objective and formation control, split pressure, and how well the champion survives a long fight. Builds and forms that scale differently are graded separately. This is Vambient's gameplay evaluation of coordinated late-game fights, not a win-rate calculation. Full methodology.

The grade measures one thing: how much a champion can influence a coordinated late-game objective fight once both teams reach full builds. It does not measure early strength, snowballing, or win rate. A weak late-game champion still wins by ending the game first, which is what the rest of the library teaches. How the grades are decided.
