Jayce Scaling: Grade B

BOkay lateat full build, coordinated fights

Reasonably well, with conditions. Jayce keeps real value at full build. Grade B, Okay late, in The Scaling Codex. The grade belongs to one specific build, described below.

Reviewed for League of Legends Season 16 (2026).

Verdict. Decent with full AD build. The range is a bit lacking, and no game-changing ultimate.

What he does well

He bleeds the fight before it starts. An accelerated Shock Blast through the gate hits from a distance most carries cannot answer, so a fight that begins after two of those have landed is one the enemy enters behind. Six abilities across two forms also mean he always has a next button, including a hammer knockback that works as personal peel.

Nothing he owns decides the fight itself

The poke range is real but not artillery, so long-range mages out-siege him, and hard engage skips the siege phase entirely. When the fight starts on top of him, his form swap is his ultimate, and a stance change does not answer a five-man commit.

The rule

Win the fight before it starts, because you own no button for after it starts.

How this grade was judged

The grade weighs range, target access, sustained and burst damage, crowd control, mobility, durability, healing and shielding, resets, cooldown structure, objective and formation control, split pressure, and how well the champion survives a long fight. Builds and forms that scale differently are graded separately. This is Vambient's gameplay evaluation of coordinated late-game fights, not a win-rate calculation. Full methodology.

Related champions

The grade measures one thing: how much a champion can influence a coordinated late-game objective fight once both teams reach full builds. It does not measure early strength, snowballing, or win rate. A weak late-game champion still wins by ending the game first, which is what the rest of the library teaches.
