One question, answered from the books

When should I take a fight?

When the math says yes before the fight starts. Judge every fight by value gained per resource spent, not by whether your team got a kill, and enter fights by choice, never by momentum. Two rules carry most games. First, count bodies: fight with more players, create the numbers, then fight, and when they have more, do not fight. Second, weigh the downside: before any chosen fight, ask whether losing it loses the game, and if it does, only take it pre-won. Everything else in fighting, positioning, focus, the chase, is detail on top of those two checks.

The decision, as a picture

What it looks like in a real game

20:41, fight starting at Dragon. Your fed mid, fifteen thousand gold of items, flashes in first and dies before casting a spell. The team pings you to follow. A third of your team's gold just dissipated without pressing a button; the math turned. The disciplined play is the ugly one: weigh it as a 4v5 down your carry, usually disengage, and let the pit go. Avenging the investment is how one death becomes four.

The concept: Fight economics

Rules of Engagement treats fighting as spending: thirty rules for when to fight, who goes first, and what your life is worth. Its opening correction is the one that reframes everything, kills are the receipt, not the profit.
