What this means

So definitely consider this one. Amumu. Okay, so here we get to another champion that has actually only one representation in Grandmaster.

So zero representation in challenger right now, only one in Grandmaster. 4% pick rate. So this is one of the worst mains you can possibly do.

This is not even So here's a caveat for lower elo players. Here's a warning. I would say it is actually pretty important that you do not play a champion that is like if you are first starting out to the game, right?

Unless you are finding Amumu extremely fun and extremely I guess I guess very fun to play and it is just your favorite champion. I would recommend not picking him up. But yeah, caveat being if he's really fun for you and you feel really good on him, I would re highly recommend not playing him because I used to be an I used to play him a lot.

I did not get very far with him. I even on my smurfs, you know, when I when I smurf or when I try to, you know, rank up, I haven't done this in a long time, but back then essentially, a move is just generally pretty weak. I would say I was one of the better Amumu players on this server.

Because I was still challenger back then and grinding Amumu. I really enjoyed the champion. This is just one of the champions I think we should skip because it doesn't get you too far.

After about like master tier umish players start really playing around your cooldowns. Unless he is fundamentally like broken in a way. Unless Riot buffs him in some way.

I would highly recommend not picking him just because even though he is very easy to execute and you will see more situations with him like you'll you'll kind of be able to tank for your team, there are better choices to main as your first champion. And of course, champion mastery builds over time. So, you're still going to get the like you can probably get to a pretty decent point in Amumu play when you are master tier ranked or above on a different champion because essentially you will have learned the game to extent that you can pick up other champions pretty quickly and you will have already seen how those champions are supposed to play around your ELO which is you know if you make it to masters plus only I guess 1% of players can so if you can make it there you'll be able to see 1 percentile play on the regular.

So Amumu support is a decent option. I mean this is mainly for Amumu jungle I guess. So Amumu support I would also not recommend by the way but it is a decent option.

I think it is slightly better than jungle right now but not by too much. So I would not recommend this champion. This is, I guess, one of the few F- tiers, that exist, but, yes, I would say definitely consider other champions first.

There is zero challenger representation for this champion. This champion will not get you very far. The higher you climb, the harder it will be.

Just because the champion is, not very strong.

How this was measured

Two numbers, one division. First, how many players are currently in Challenger or Grandmaster maining this champion in Korea, Europe West and North America, from onetricks.gg. Second, how many ranked games the entire playerbase plays of this champion worldwide across every rank, from op.gg. The result is high elo mains per 100,000 games played, then reduced by the champion's ban rate, because a champion you cannot pick is a champion you cannot main.

This is not a win rate list and it is not a patch strength list. It measures availability-adjusted high-elo main density: how much Challenger and Grandmaster main representation a champion has relative to how often it is played. It is not the probability that maining this champion will get you to high elo. The score counts Challenger and Grandmaster mains only, drawn from a tracked pool that starts at Master; it does not include the Chinese server, and it counts accounts rather than people, so one dedicated player with several high elo accounts shows up more than once. Patch 16.15. The full plain English explanation, including everything this list cannot tell you, is on the main list page.

The rule

Popularity is not the signal. What matters here is how densely high elo mains appear relative to how often the champion is played.
