The numbers
Score 0.43 high elo mains per 100,000 games played, ban-adjusted · 1 Challenger · 0 Grandmaster · 28 tracked mains in KR, EUW and NA · 219,027 games played worldwide · 2.38% pick rate · 5.08% ban rate
Small sample. Only 28 tracked mains in the three major regions, so treat this position as indicative rather than settled.
What this means
One note before the words below. In the video Rammus is grouped with Rakan and called C tier, quoting stats that are Rammus's own. The computed, ban-adjusted score places Rammus in F, with 1 Challenger and 0 Grandmaster mains on 219,027 games. The grade on this page follows the data.
From the video: Vambient's breakdown, lightly cleaned from speech
Same with Rammus. They're all going to be in C tier because there's just not that many players in GM Challenger with Rakan or Rammus. So, in NA there's one guy, oh wait, Rammus is actually out here.
Yes, in NA there's one guy Chupe Gua. I actually have faced against him a couple times already this season, but yeah, he's the only guy in challenger with Rammus. So, yeah, he's basically holding it up all by himself.
Otherwise, yeah, 5% B rate and 2% pick race. So, not a very good champion. Right now to main and has never really been popular.
So, I mean, if you want to, it's not that bad, but it's just like it's you have to copy him only is what I'm trying to say, I guess. He does a couple of interesting things. I think Coach Rogue had a video about him earlier, so definitely check that out if it's recent.
But yeah, just search that up if you want. But yeah, I don't think he streams or makes any content at all. So there's that.
And then Rakan is one of the champions that kind of only has one challenger right now and six GMs. So even despite his decent pick rate, similar to if he had higher GM plus representation, then he would be higher on the tier list. But yes, that leads us into Rek'Sai.
How this was measured
Two numbers, one division. First, how many players are currently in Challenger or Grandmaster maining this champion in Korea, Europe West and North America, from onetricks.gg. Second, how many ranked games the entire playerbase plays of this champion worldwide across every rank, from op.gg. The result is high elo mains per 100,000 games played, then reduced by the champion's ban rate, because a champion you cannot pick is a champion you cannot main.
This is not a win rate list and it is not a patch strength list. It measures availability-adjusted high-elo main density: how much Challenger and Grandmaster main representation a champion has relative to how often it is played. It is not the probability that maining this champion will get you to high elo. The score counts Challenger and Grandmaster mains only, drawn from a tracked pool that starts at Master; it does not include the Chinese server, and it counts accounts rather than people, so one dedicated player with several high elo accounts shows up more than once. Patch 16.15. The full plain English explanation, including everything this list cannot tell you, is on the main list page.
Popularity is not the signal. What matters here is how densely high elo mains appear relative to how often the champion is played.
